We call them "bouquets" here in the States.

I used to get confused when I'd hear photographers talking about the bokeh in an image, since it's a homophone of bouquet.

Is that how it's pronounced? I always said "Bow-keh" kind of Japanese like.

Also I got married in ivory. Are you guys still going for the white/ice blue new year's thing?

I'm getting married in ivory too, but the dress has little specks of blue and pink through out to match the pink sash.

You can't really see how bright the blue is in this picture (misleading!) and that is the part I don't like.

Also, I've changed my mind a million times, and we are now doing purple [the swatch I received looks more like the close up shot] with crazy color flowers.

lika dis:

But with a purple ribbon and blue instead of orange.

...

Probably.

You can see it a bit in the skirt on the picture. There are two big, bright spots on the bust that you can't see, because the picture is really washed out, maybe even edited. I'm a bit annoyed because the website states there is pink throughout, but doesn't even mention the blue.

Have you contacted the company? If anything you could get some money back for it or something.

I e-mailed, hopefully they will be helpful. If not, vintage dresses usually go for a lot on ebay.

today I watched Smokin Aces 2: Assassin's Ball (not as good as the first) and dropped off my daughter at a birthday party. It's just now noonish, and I have other plans for the rest of the day, like picking up my daughter...

[later on]

I got to sit in the drivers seat of a fire engine today. That was cool. I wish I felt better so I could appreciate it more. I hate being sick.

Today I came home from a wonderful weekend with friends and outdoor skating, and I'm about to head out to my first Zumba class. I hope it's not too full and I can register for it. An extra workout throughout the week will make me feel much better.

My mom and dad's last cat was named Zumba. It had nothing to do with the dancing, and it was weird when the dancing became popular.

Zumba was a good cat.

I went and I did register and it was a very fun class. I get another 6 weeks, then hopefully I can find another place to continue them. It's a great workout! There were no cats involved though.

Today, my advisor threw a wrench in my academic planning!

I have been spending the passed year or so thinking that I'd do my internship abroad over the summer and student teach in the fall, then do whatever I needed to in the spring. Turns out I absolutely have to student teach in the spring, so I'm wondering if I can still make everything work. Here's to hoping!

Today I picked my wife up from the airport. I missed her. She missed Snowmaggedon 2: Electric Boogaloo debuting in Boston by a matter of hours.

Today my dad treated rotary cuff surgery like it was his concubine.

Also his girlfriend is cuhraaaaaaaayzay. She literally went off the deep end. Good news is, he broke up with her! Yeah yeah!

It'll hurt him as the pain killers, etc wear off, but if he does well at physical therapy it'll be better than before he had the problem. Seriously. My mom's shoulder where she had rotator cuff surgery on is now better than the one she hasn't, although that one is fine. Also, my mom was back at work in 4 days, but I'm starting to think she's superhuman.

Today I enjoyed waking up in my own bed. The trip home was great as far as getting to be with my mom, but stressful and hard in all other aspects.

you're supposed to let pain killers wear off?

Well, if you're my mom, you take them about 1/3 as frequently as prescribed and then complain about having to take them every time you do. Wink

Today I moved into a house I own. It's amazing how much more I care about the trim getting banged up while furniture is moved.
